1/2 Day Guiding Trip, Boise River

This 4-hour day will be a walk and wade experience on the Boise River through town. The ability to search for fish through the center of our metropolis can be quite a fun learning experience that separates you from the surrounding buzz of Boise, Idaho.

Full Day Guiding Trip, Boise River

This full, 8-hour day will fly by as we walk and wade in search of fish on the Boise River. Although the stretch through town is regularly stocked with 10-12 inch “catchable-sized” fish, the river has been known to produce hefty rainbow and brown trout for those who put in the time. I hope that one of these larger ones has your name on it as we search out hungry fish through our growing metropolis. Lunch is provided, and any dietary restrictions will be accommodated as much as possible.

Be Prepared

The summer months in Boise can be quite warm, but being in the high desert, we can see thunderstorms and inclement weather year-round. The fall, winter, and spring can be cold and unpredictable, so appropriate clothing for layering is even more important during this time of year. In order to assist you with being more prepared for your day of fishing, here is a list of things you should consider having with you:

  • Hat
  • Polarized sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent
  • Rain gear
  • Good socks (wool or Capilene, etc.)
  • Warm clothing for layering and wearing under waders (i.e. long johns, fleece pants, etc.) ***Jeans are usually not very comfortable under waders, nor do they wick moisture well.
  • Extra clothes (in case the weather changes or the need arises)
